Our EGGciting Week

A big thank you to Pets In The Classroom for funding our new class pet.  Olly started Kindergarten on Monday and we are all head over hills for him.

We are learning how to care for our pet and the things he can eat and the things he can not eat. We are using our new guinea pig vocabulary cards to write about our new friend.

"I love Mrs. Craighead and Olly."

"I see a guinea pig.  I love Olly."

"I see a guinea pig."

"I love Olly and you and you are nice."

By having Olly in the classroom we are:
*learning responsibility
*developing empathy and compassion
*documenting our observations and expanding our oral and written vocabulary.

Our chick eggs arrived on Thursday and we put them in our incubator.

We created our own chicks and we labeled them.

We practiced for our Egg hunt by searching for sight word eggs around our classroom.

We enjoyed the sunshine while searching for our eggs.

We had a very special visitor who stopped by our classroom.

Have a wonderful break.  Enjoy the extra time with your little one.
