We Are Thankful

We had a wonderful week together.  We focused on things we are thankful for. I am thankful to call this group of kiddos mine.

We worked on a very special Thanksgiving thankful book.

We all received a brand new book thanks to Blue Box.  Thank you to Arianna's mom for coming to read to us.

Here are a few shots of our literacy centers in action.

We have been working on graphing in math.  We graphed our favorite Thanksgiving day food.  Turkey was the winner.

We learned about the Mayflower and made a craft.

We have been working hard on counting by 10's.

We played an Indian math game to review our numbers.

We had some very special lunch guest this week.

For food Friday we made Stone Soup.

I am thankful for this sweet group!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Our Week Of Learning

We celebrated Veteran's Day with a grand Check celebration.  Our school gathered in the gym to surprise Dean Codgen our school computer technology specialist.  We cheered and waved our American flags high.

Both kindergarten classes worked together to make Mr. Codgen a special banner.

We are working hard during guided reading.

We finished up our magnet unit with an experiment.

We did some "turkey" counting in our math journals.

We played a tally mark game using our smartboard.

We finished our first Junie B. Jones book this week and started our second one.  The students are doing such a good job listening to these chapter books.

We are finding sight words while we are in the book center.  Our paper is quickly filling up.

Thanks to everyone who sent in items for our food drive this week.  We are still collecting.

I love how my kiddos are writing each other notes now.

I got this sweet note from a former student this week. I love my job!

Look what we made for food Friday. Gobble, gobble.

Have a wonderful relaxing weekend.
