Look What is Happening in Preschool

This is a combination of  last week and this weeks activities.  Hopefully we will have a full week soon.  Come on spring...tell winter to take a rest.

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day on Thursday with a little leprechaun craft.

We have been reading lots of fun Dr. Seuss books lately.  We made popcorn after we read Hop on Pop!

We tried out some fun new paint sticks.

A parent came and helped us make pet rocks.

We decided to decorate our classroom for spring regardless of what the thermometer says.

We read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish  and  graphed

paper fish.  Once we made our large graph together we graphed our own bag of goldfish crackers.

We have been practicing using our listening ears and hearing different musical sounds.  We played a game where we had to listen and match up eggs that sounded the same. Inside the eggs we had pennies, pom poms, paper clips, popcorn and beads.

Have a wonderful weekend.  Stay safe.

Our Week Of Learning

We had another wonderful week in preschool.  We finished up our dinosaur unit on Monday and started our Pet unit on Tuesday.  We hope you enjoy our classroom pictures.

We made dinosaurs out of penne pasta.

Our dinosaur eggs hatched on Monday.  We practiced saying the letters on the dinosaurs tummies.

Tuesday was Hat Day at Check and we made our own hats out of sentence strips and colored paper.

We opened up an Animal Hospital dramatic play center this week. A big thanks to Pocket Full Of Preschool for this wonderful unit.

Check out the Pet houses the students made out of blocks.

Our Animal Hospital play center in action!

Ms. Annette brought her pet guinea pig Olly to school for pet week.

We read this book to help us know how to care for him.

The students loved him and Olly loved having all the attention.

The students drew pictures of him on their white boards.

We read Caring for Your Goldfish and made our own aquariums by using watercolor and construction paper.

Thank you to Ms. Karlee for coming to share a pet book with us.

We practiced our names with markers this week.

A big thank you to the Farm Bureau for coming to share the book These Bees Count by Alison Formento and to Mrs. Richardson for sharing her Bee keeping knowledge with us.

We shared pictures of our pets from home.

It was a week full of fun!  Have a wonderful weekend.
