Kindergarten Is "Snow" Much Fun!

We took advantage of the snow that was on the ground today and had some fun. We brought some snow inside and looked at it with magnifying glasses. After that experiment we bundled up and went outside to write our sight words with craft sticks.
  Have a great long weekend.

Measuring fun and Random Acts of Kindness

We worked on our 2014 goal today. (Practicing Random Acts of Kindness)  We wiped down the tables in the cafeteria for Mrs. Nolley.

We started our measuring unit today.  We are learning how to measure with non-standard units of measure.

Mrs. Craighead was 16 snowmen tall.  Mrs. Angie was 14 snowmen
tall and Megan was 9 snowmen tall.  We had "snow" much fun!

Happy 2014!  On our first day back we talked about our goals for the new year.  Each child created their own goal.  A few students wanted to play more in 2014.  I think this is perfect for a kindergartner.  Some of my sweet boys wanted to learn how to play basketball and  football.  I had a couple kiddos want to exercise more.  One child wanted to learn to cook.
Our class goal for the new year is to do random acts of kindness.  We started working on this goal yesterday by delivering hot chocolate to all of the bus drivers. It was the perfect day for something warm to drink.

Stay warm and safe today!
