Happy Spring!

  Just popping by to share a few pictures from our Egg hunt today.  A BIG thank you to everyone who sent in supplies and came to help out.

Our Week Of Learning

We had a GREAT week of learning. We enjoyed seeing the sun shine and the warmer weather. We are gearing up for all things spring soon.

We started off the week filling in missing letters from CVC words.

We also practiced sounding out CVC words using match box cars. 

We reviewed our coins with a money flip book.

 I LOVE kindergarten writing.

"I see my mom and my dad."

"The Cat In The Hat."

We read The ABC Book by Dr. Seuss. We pulled letters out of a bag and practiced writing them in shaving cream.

After reading Horton Hatches the Egg we discussed different animals that hatch from eggs.  In April we will be starting chick eggs in our incubator!

We read The Foot Book and measured our feet.

Look at our cute Leprechauns!

We wrote our popcorn words inside rainbows.

We came back from lunch to find a mess!  That sneaky Leprechaun had left us a green trail to follow.  At the end of the trail was a special treat.

We crushed up our chocolate cookie for dirt.  We planted a jelly bean and then sprinkled the cookie with rainbow sprinkles. We had to wait until the next day to see what the seed grew into.

We made predictions.

They grew into suckers!

I brought my three little ducklings to visit our classroom on Friday.

We got to share books and ducklings with Mrs. Dickerson's sixth graders during book buddy time.

We enjoyed writing about our new little feathered friends.

We took them out for a little sunshine.
