Check out some of our writing!

"Eggs are as brown as chocolate." |
We played a fun digraph game this week. We got to dance around the room to music. When the music stopped we had to write the missing digraph from the picture. Note to parents...the kids love 50's music.
We began addition this week. I introduced the unit with rubber ducks.
We have been working addition problems in our math notebooks.
One of my students noticed he had a "plus" sign on his shirt... so we made up addition problems using people from our class. Sometimes the best lessons are the ones that are not planned.
We reviewed our teen numbers with a buddy game. I love to see my students helping each other.
We started off our egg unit by reading Chickens Aren't The Only Ones and watching a video of hatching chicks.
We sorted oviparous and viviparous animals.
I Loved how these little chicks turned out.
I gave the students yellow, orange and white paper and told them to make a chick. Our room exploded with paper but the end result was so worth it.
Have a wonderful sunny weekend!
