Welcome December!

It's beginning to look a lot like December in kindergarten. This week we started   our December literacy stations and began  some secret projects.

We used our listening ears and followed oral directions to create a mystery picture. Our mystery picture turned out to be a  reindeer!

This week we discussed things that we need and things that we want.

We cut out pictures of things we need and want from magazines.

In math we explored shapes and talked about the number of sides and corners shapes have.

We had fun building shapes out of toothpicks and marshmallows.

We counted to see how many cubes would fit inside different shapes.

We made shape Christmas trees.

On Thursday we had a special delivery straight from the North Pole. Santa sent an Elf to help keep an eye on things in Kindergarten. We named him Twinkle. Friday he brought us cookies to decorate for food Friday. The students can't wait to see what Twinkle is doing each day.

Check out these gingerbread men in disguise.

It was a GREAT week.  Enjoy your weekend!
