Our Week Of Learning

We had a great short week together. I hope you enjoy looking at what we have been learning. 

Kindness is a big part of our classroom.  When I saw this sign at the Hillsville flea market I knew it would look great in our classroom. It is a nice daily reminder.

We started our sight word journals this week.  I and a were the words we focused on. We continued learning our letters with our ABC boot camp.

We had our special name snack this week.   We enjoyed sharing a snack that started with the first letter of our names.

We had fun making lots of different patterns.

We enjoyed show and share this week.  We shared things that started with the letters Mm, Nn, Oo and Pp.

  We have two butterfly chrysalis that we are keeping an eye on. We can't wait to see butterflies hatch!

Our Week In Review

We had a great week together.  We are settled into school  routines and centers are going well. We are becoming a school family. 

 We are pattern experts!

We started working in our math workbook this week. Most of our math work is hands-on but math pages are great for review.

Busy at literacy centers.

  The overhead center was introduced this week.  It was a big hit.

ABC Boot Camp is still underway.  We are becoming ABC masters.

We are practicing our names each day with a graph question.  On this day we had to write our names above our favorite color.

We read Chrysanthemum and made some colorful name art.

Due to an early release on Friday we will share our name snacks on Tuesday.

My 100th Blog Post!

Wow...I can not believe this is my 100th blog post.  I started this blog to help bridge the gap between school and home.  I wanted my parents to see what we were doing in school.  I hope everyone enjoys reading this blog just as much as I enjoy taking pictures and sharing them with you.

We had a very busy week of learning and making memories. We continued with our ABC Boot Camp and learned all about the letters Ee, Ff, Gg and Hh. 
  We did lots of color activities.  We read Brown Bear and loved acting out the story.

We sorted M&M's to match the animals from the story.

Literacy stations were a huge success this week.

We are working hard learning how to form our letters.  Our ABC notebooks are quickly filling up with GREAT work.

We reviewed our shapes this week with lots of fun activities.

 We ended our week with some yummy brown bears and a color experiment.
