Our Week In Review

We are all about everything chicks in our classroom.  The kids are so excited and we are marking down the days until we have some little feathered babies. (hopefully)

We put 24 chick eggs in our incubator on Thursday morning.
We predicted how many eggs we think will hatch.

We read lots of chicken books.

Chick addition...why not?

We enjoyed being egg investigators.  We labeled the parts of and egg and measured the circumference of an egg. We also predicted if an egg would float or sink in water and salt water.

Work stations were busy this week.

I pulled out my reading lights this week. They were a HUGE hit!

We planted some daisy and sunflower seeds on Monday.  We predicted which one would sprout first.

 The winner was.....the sunflower!

We ended our week with a little dancing and books shared by Mrs. Deremer.

We had a wonderful week together!

Our "EGG"cellent Week of Learning

We had a wonderful week together.  We had so much fun working and learning in our bunny ears!
We had a blast looking for sight word bunny footprints around the room.

We also enjoyed hunting for Easter eggs and reading the sight words on them.

We started addition in math. We made up addition problems using addition mats.

Math centers were a success this week. We reviewed money and time.

We wrote about what we would like in our Easter baskets.

"a big chocolate bunny"

 "peeps"

We are counting down until we start our chick eggs in the incubator.  Writing about chicks has become VERY popular in our classroom.

"Hoppy" Easter!

Our egg hunt was a little windy but lots of fun!

Thanks to all of my wonderful parents for sending in eggs.

After our hunt we enjoyed a sweet treat.

Many of my students ask for their pictures to be taken when they are super proud of something.  I am a huge picture person so I am always ready to capture a learning moment. My students are becoming great photographers.

Have a wonderful Spring Break!

Next week we are learning all about chicks and chickens.
