P is for Pumpkin

Our Week Together

We enjoyed our week together.  We LOVED seeing the sunshine.  

We started our October writing books this week.  We are working on adding detail to our drawings and labeling our illustrations.

We played lots of games to work on the numbers 1 to 10.

We have been talking about community helpers this week.  A big thank you to Kaylan's Mom for coming to share about being a nurse.

We used some of the gloves to play a sight word game.

We finished up our five senses unit by having a tasting party.

We graphed our favorite taste.  Sweet was our favorite taste.

We have  enjoyed learning some new ABC songs.

Our Short Week Together

We made the most of our days together this week. We are working hard learning our sight words.  We will keep adding new words to our sight word pumpkin during October.

We did a little sight word review using our smartboard.

We had fun  working on our numbers with a partner math game.

We reviewed our numbers 1-10 using a ten frame.

I added some new October centers to our literacy stations.

We started learning about our five senses this week.  On Thursday we used all of our five senses when we made popcorn.

What do you do when it rains all week and you can't go outside?  You dance using GoNoodle of course!
