Our Week Of Learning

We had a great week together. We kicked off our ABC Boot Camp and had lots of fun doing hands-on alphabet activities. We learned all about our literacy centers and will begin working in them next week.

Look at the corn that came out of our garden this week!

We had a blast bouncing a balloon for the letter Bb.

We rolled a ball to each other to practice our names.

We worked hard on forming and writing our letters.

We sorted pictures by letter sounds.

We did a little catch the bean bag to celebrate the letters Bb and Cc.

Nurse Peggy stopped by to share ways for us to stay healthy and germ free.

  I spy Pete The Cat!

In math we worked together to sort shapes.

Dot painting the letter D.

We sorted paper shapes by size, color and shape.

We made yellow buses for Friday food day!

We had fun sharing things that started with the letters Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd. (Dr, Pepper, dinosaur, and blue bird)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Our First Week Together

We had a great first week together. We learned all about our classroom and school.  We read a Pete The Cat book and looked for Pete's missing shoes all around the school.

We found a missing shoe in the office.
We found a missing shoe in the gym.

Mrs. Cromer came and read us one of her favorite books.

We had  fun doing table centers.

We read The Monster Alphabet Book and made friendly school monsters.

We were excited to pick some corn out of our kindergarten garden.

We enjoyed playing in the sunshine this week.

We learned all about each other during our brown bag show and share time.

We made a school bus and practiced with our scissors and glue.

In kindergarten we are ALL smiles!

Have a great weekend.

Garden and Chick Update

Hello!  I hope everyone is enjoying summer to the fullest. I went by school the other day and took some pictures of our garden.  I also got my daughter to help assist in taking some pictures of the two chicks I kept from the 19 that we hatched in our classroom.  Hope you enjoy looking at how quickly our garden and chicks have grown.

Look at the height of our corn now!

Do you spy the ears of corn?

  More tomatoes are growing.

This is Lucky.  She was our last chick to hatch.  Lucky number nineteen!

This is Oreo.  She is just as spoiled as Lucky.

I hope you enjoyed the updates.  Happy Summer!
